Our History:  Established in 1856 by Swedish immigrants, First Baptist Church has a legacy of service for Christ that has endured for generations. Our members have an appreciation for the achievements of the past, a passion for service in the present, and a desire for greater things in the future. Our goal is to do more than ever before, so that we can reach more people than ever before. Our vision, to Become a Biblical Community of Belivers, Unified in Purpose, Dynamic in Growth and Influential in the World, All for the Glory of God, is summed in 4 words that we use as a guidline of everything we do as a church: Being...Doing...Giving...Growing!
